Catalonia: A few notes about Catalonia
It is not easy at all, with a hundred words, to explain this Autonomous Community of Spain, its history, its rich culture and its own language, the Catalan, official in the region, like Spanish

Nowadays, Catalonia has approximately seven million inhabitants. Barcelona is its capital and one of the large cities in the Mediterranean Sea. From an administrative point of view, the state division into provinces (Barcelona, Tarragona, Lérida and Gerona) overlaps with the division of the Catalan Administration into 41 “comarques” (regions).

In the framework of a rule of law and democratic government, Catalonia is entitled to have legislative autonomy and executive competence as well as the authority to carry out its own administration by means of its own representatives chosen from the election lists submitted by the political parties.

You can find complete information in the website of the Catalan Government, and also in comarcalia.com, a website that wants to be an open window, to Catalonia, from the world.
